Flora Obscura Jacket: Raw silks
Pieced together from lush double chiffon and raw silk, this jacket has an elegant structure, a curved collar and a surprise pleated back panel. Imprinted with fresh garden blooms: coreopsis, cosmos, raspberry leaves, queen anne's lace.
One-of-a-kind.
Materials: Silk charmeuse & flowers
Open sizing: With a width, or all around circumference, of 44”, this piece is suitable for a range of bodies from XS—L.
Length: 38”
Fit: Flora Obscura patterns are strategically cut in simple and flattering geometric silhouettes. This wrap glides easily over the shoulders and drapes beautifully down from there in a cocoon-shape. The rectangular shape allows this item to fit and flatter many body types and sizes.
How is this made? Flora Obscura items go through a multi-step process. The silk is first imbued with flowers through a steaming process, next its dyed or hand painted with natural dyes. Once it's reached the desired color palate, the silk is then cut and sewn into a garment. Each piece is slightly different but truly one-of-a-kind, and made from start to finish by the same pair of hands. Colorful surprises and attractive inconsistencies occur in the dye process, making each item one-of-a-kind, painterly and alluring, as nature intends.
