an intricate process…

The art of botanical contact-printing…

The process is a delicate alchemy: pure white cloth is first immersed in minerals, preparing it to absorb the vibrant hues of plants. Fresh leaves and flowers are then arranged on the fabric, which is bundled and steamed. During this transformation, the essence, imprint, and pigmentation of the flora are transferred into the cloth, resulting in one-of-a-kind botanical contact prints. Each piece is a reflection of nature itself— a perfect blend of harmony and discord.

Behind the label

Alison Kelly is an artist and designer whose work is guided by the quiet intelligence of nature and the pursuit of beauty in its wildest forms. Her journey began in the sunlit ateliers of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she studied fine arts and silversmithing. A trip to Oaxaca revealed the ancient alchemy of natural dyeing in vats of indigo and cochineal. Later, fashion school in Florence, Italy sharpened her eye for form and design, while New York swept her into the exhilarating chaos of Project Runway.

In time, Alison returned to the plants, where her truest calling emerged. Each piece she creates is steeped in the ephemeral grace of petals and leaves; each organic skincare blend is infused with their healing essences. Together, they are conceived not simply as objects, but as rituals—offerings of beauty and mystery that transform the everyday acts of dressing and tending to the body into moments of reverence and renewal.

Through workshops, Alison shares this botanical alchemy with others, teaching the art of natural dyeing and guiding participants to create their own prints while cultivating a deeper connection to the living world.
