THE BOTANICAL PROCESS
This piece is created slowly in the Flora Obscura studio using botanical dyeing and printing techniques. Safflower petals create the soft pink ground, while fresh roses are used to create the botanical impressions across the silk.
The printing process allows the flowers themselves to leave their traces on the fabric, creating an organic, painterly surface rather than a mechanically reproduced pattern.
This is botanical textile art designed to be lived with.
SILK BEDDING
Mulberry silk is naturally smooth and breathable, making it especially lovely for bedding. Its fluid surface creates a luxurious sleeping environment while the botanical treatment gives the fabric an unmistakably artisanal character.
Please note: Because this textile is hand dyed and botanically printed, subtle variations in color, botanical impressions, and pattern placement are part of the process and contribute to the character of the finished piece.
