Using our signature botanical dyeing and printing process, we extract color directly from your preserved bouquet to create one-of-a-kind silk textiles. The resulting piece captures the spirit, palette, and memory of your wedding day in a form that can be worn, displayed, and treasured for generations.

One of the most enchanting aspects of this process is discovering the hidden colors within your flowers.
We can derive color from most flowers and foliage—even light blooms. However, botanical printing and natural dyeing do not reproduce flowers in their original colors. Instead, the plants reveal their own unique chemistry through our signature fabric preparation methods, which gently coax color from the petals and leaves.
The resulting palette often unfolds in beautiful shades of lilac, lavender, soft pink, buttery yellow, sage, and muted green. Occasionally, certain plants—particularly eucalyptus—can surprise us with deeper blush, terracotta, or rosy tones.

Yes. Because we cannot capture the exact color of fresh blooms, we also offer the option to imbue the silk with a custom background color inspired by your bouquet. If you would prefer a soft blush, lavender, sage, golden hue, or another subtle tone in place of the natural ivory silk background, please let us know. We're happy to create a custom color wash that reflects the palette and spirit of your flowers.

Each bouquet creates its own distinctive imprint, making every silk piece completely one-of-a-kind. Rather than an exact replica, think of it as capturing the spirit, essence, and botanical memory of your flowers translated into silk.
This process is equal parts art, alchemy, and collaboration with nature—and the results are often more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Every Flora Obscura bouquet preservation piece is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between your flowers, our studio, and nature itself.
Unlike conventional printing methods, botanical printing is an organic process. Each flower releases its pigments differently, and no two bouquets—or resulting textiles—will ever be exactly alike. While we carefully guide the process through years of experience and our signature fabric preparation methods, the final colors, markings, and botanical impressions are ultimately determined by the plants themselves.
For this reason, we encourage our clients to embrace the element of surprise and trust the process. The beauty of botanical printing lies in its unpredictability—the subtle shifts in color, the delicate impressions, and the unique story your flowers leave behind on silk.
Please note that bespoke bouquet preservation orders are custom-made specifically for you and are therefore non-refundable and non-returnable. By placing an order, you acknowledge that the finished piece will be an artistic interpretation of your bouquet rather than an exact replication of its original colors or appearance.
We are honored to create these heirloom textiles and pour tremendous care into every piece. The most successful projects begin with a spirit of curiosity, trust, and a willingness to let the flowers reveal their own magic.
